The data needed to make photomontages were taken from interviews of research paticipants where they were asked open ended questions that let them describe what they think without the interviewer placing a specific image in their heads of how Death is traditionally described. The interviewed persons perceptions of Death varied according to their own beliefs (religion, philosophy etc.). This project is a completely new experience since I was working in a style that I haven’t fully tried before even though I have done collage works before. I had to not rely on photo filters, effects and drawn elements (as I would usually do) to make these pieces. The main theme of the project was to find out the fear of women and visualize it. Since the project mainly focuses on the experiences that these women have went through or are going through on a daily basis (career, social life, internal struggles etc.) - the use of embroidery is intentional.
